How will yoga help?
Yoga is a mind and body practice, with over a 5,000 year history. The difference between yoga and other forms of exercise is that you move with the breath, meaning that you move with more purpose and thought.
At the heart of yoga is to make time to truly slow down, which is why the ‘resting pose’ at the end is key. Life is busy, and yoga gives you the space to make time for you.
A typical yoga class will start with breathwork, followed by mindful movements and finishes off with a deep relaxation at the end. A great yoga class should feel like a whole body and mind experience - this is what Emily aims for.
